Beginner
You do not have experience in high mountains or rock climbing, you feel comfortable walking on non-technical trails (that do not require the use of your hands). You are looking for new experiences in technical terrain, slopes of more than 40 degrees, traveling through glaciers, semi-technical terrain of no more than 5 degrees of rock climbing, where it involves the use of crampons, snowshoes, pickaxes. Monolargos rock climbing, 1/2/3 days, Ascent to Cerro Madsen, Paso Cuadrado, Return to Huemul, glacier trek.
Intermediate
Do you have previous climbing or mountaineering experience? You know the basic techniques, basic climbing maneuvers. You can climb 5th grade, French AD routes. You know the basic technique to walk with crampons, use of pickaxes.
Advanced
You have a solid experience in the mountains or rock climbing, climbing routes of various lengths in a sporty way, or alpine mode ,. Scales grade 6 to 6b sports mode. You are self-sufficient with the basic equipment and basic rock climbing safety techniques. Scales routes of difficulty D French grade

This 9-day Southern Patagonian Ice Field expedition from El Chalten will take you to an unknown world of ice and snow.
In this program, I will take you through the best spots on it. We’ll start from El Chalten, a beautiful small town, located at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy, in the Argentinian side of Patagonia. There are so many amazing features in this adventure that is hard to describe them all. We’ll spend a week immersed in a kind of landscape that you’ve never seen, with panoramic views of great peaks and volcanoes. We’ll see lakes and lagoons with indescribable colors.

I spent a week in El Chalten between Christmas and New Year 2019 and climbed with Patagonia All Mountains Cerro Electrico, Cerro Creston (with Skis) and Mojon Rojo. The first two were day climbs and MR included a camp night in front of the Cerro Torre. It was an incredible experience with Ariel, who is a great guide, a marvellous person and knows the aerea very well. Each tour started and ended with a Mate and to share this experience with an Argentinian friend is outstanding. I had the best time of my life with Ariel and cannot wait to go back to climb mountains on skis in Winter time in and around Patagonia.
