Intermediate Level
Let’s climb the Cerro Electrico (2257 m) and enjoy the most incredible views of the entire Fitz Roy Massif. Cerro Electrico is a great summit to climb. Although it will be a physically demanding day I can guarantee you’ll really enjoy it. We’ll have to cross the glacier through 40-degree slopes. That is why it is essential to have an excellent fitness level and feel comfortable with the use of crampons.

During this fantastic 3-day adventure, we will explore the Patagonian glaciers at the foot of Fitz Roy with a special view and a more technical (not classical) approach.
A tough ascent over technical terrain takes us to the Guillaumet Pass, where we will celebrate with incredible views of the surrounding glaciers before descending to our campsite

In this trek you will reach the Patagonian Ice Field too, by entering through the Paso Marconi or Laguna de los 14, to reach Refugio Gorra Blanca (Chile), where we will spend our nights warm and safety, and then we can start the climbing to the top of Cerro Gorra Blanca.

The summit of Mojon Rojo provides excellent views of both the Cerro Torre and Fitz Roy massifs. The east face is a moderate, yet interesting route. It is surprising that this peak does not draw more people, since along with Cerro Solo, Gorra Blanca and Cerro Electrico is one of the best alternatives for fun “classic” mountaineering in the area.

Cerro Solo is an isolated peak rising in proximity of the village of El Chalten in the Argentinian Southern Patagonia. The mountain is very close to the village, is one of the easiest climb in the area and a magnificient viewpoint on Fitz-Roy and Cerro Torre.

Beginner Level
If you want to live a unique alpine experience in Patagonia, this trip is for you. Join me on this full-day ascent to Cerro Madsen in El Chalten!
Although you don’t need mountaineering experience, you will need to have a good fitness level. You should be prepared for 12-14 hours of hiking. Furthermore, depending on the weather conditions, we may find some some snow. Therefore, we will probably need crampons, ropes and ice axe.

The Cerro Tronador is a majestic mountain with a very attractive glacier’s landscape. Besides that, it’s an accessible summit in terms of distance, time, lodging and logistics. The ascent to Cerro Tronador is a classic expedition in the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to venture into the world of mountaineering in an easy and comfortable way. In fact, it is an excellent mountain school where you will be able to practice and learn many basic and important techniques.

It is an ideal journey for those looking for a demanding experience both physically and technically. It is about 46 km. in total and connects the 4 most emblematic refuges of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. It can also be done partially. They spend the night in the shelters or in camping areas adjacent to them. It starts at the base of Cerro Catedral and connects with the Emilio Frey Refuge passing through the edge of Cerro Catedral, the San Martín Refuge, located on the shores of the Jakob Lagoon, the Manfredo Segre Refuge, in the Black Lagoon and the López Refuge passing through the edge of Cerro Lopez.
